About Sim Sporthorses International
SSI started several years ago as a show hosting board. After lost activity on several other international boards, I (Aeolus of Castrol Sporthorses) was having a hard time finding boards that were friendly to simmers of many nations and were active with hosting and posting results. Around the same time, SISF, a Swedish board that had served as a go-to for international simmers for inspections and approvals, had decided to slow or stop inspection of non-Swedish horses, requesting instead that the horses be first inspected in their home countries and then presented there for premiums. As no U.S. sites were offering non-randomized inspections with a quick turnaround, I added inspections to SSI.
In no time that became the focus of the board, and SSI serves today as an international source for not only events, but for inspections, approvals and accredation for warmblood-type breeding animals in Sim. SSI offers a completely non-randomized evaluation that takes into account presentation, ancestry, show record (if any, though a record is not required), and more. SSI is also the only place in Sim for stallions and mares to earn STAR awards, a program put together through research into real life warmblood associations, to recognize breeding animals that go above and beyond inspections, through their own performance and that of their progeny. We are also the only board to offer unique Stallion and Mare Performance Tests, with comprehensive, realistic scoring unlike any other in Sim.
This website is an effort to migrate away from our reliance on our message board for inspections, and to use that source as a continued site for community and event hosting. All horses inspected and approved will now be recorded in this site's database and presented here, instead of on the boards. Thank you for your patience as this huge task is accomplished!
